Youth Convention Concludes St. Vincent Trip

The Downeys continued to visit our St. Vincent churches this past week, and on Wednesday worshiped with the saints at our Greggs church. It was a special day for the pastor, Warrican James, who was celebrating his forty-second anniversary in the Gospel. A Beautiful New Church Anticipated on St. Maarten

The DeBusks arrived on Tuesday in Saint Maarten where we have three churches. They were greeted by the Eastern Caribbean District Superintendent, Michael Anthony, and his wife, Monica, along with the Haiti District Superintendent, Rolland Deler.

The next evening, they attended our Sucker Garden church on the Dutch side of the island. The pastor is Fecu Commandant, who recently succeeded Brother Rolland in that capacity.

Bob Downey, Director of North America Work, and his wife, Cheryl, left for the Caribbean on Friday, January 29, to spend a week among our churches on the island of Saint Vincent. Since their arrival, they have visited three churches accompanied by Christopher King, the District Superintendent, who writes, “We are having a wonderful time of fellowship in the presence of the Lord.”

Dominican Services in Two New Buildings Fill to Capacity

Debbie and I are in the Dominican Republic along with Tim DeBusk, Director of Caribbean Work, and his wife, Lisa. We arrived close to midnight Monday, and were able to attend a service the next evening at one of our Boca Chica churches, Altos de Chabon. This new building, which was dedicated last month, seats approximately 125 and was filled to capacity.

The Apostolic Faith camp meeting in Ikot Enwang, Akwa Ibom, Nigeria, was held December 6-20, with the theme “The Glory that Awaits the Righteous.” Special prayer meetings were held in the various branch churches during the previous month, and a ministers’ and workers’ conference was conducted on Wednesday before the camp meeting began.
